Security Guard Patrol Driver Customer Service

About the role

As a Security Guard Patrol Driver providing customer service in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Utilities. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling through the Claim a Shift platform and the opportunity to explore new positions. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a utility operations location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of facility grounds, buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain required activity logs.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
