As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government education location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, report security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or other members of the school community while carrying out site-specific policies, procedures, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious behavior or hazardous conditions, and assist with maintaining an orderly learning environment.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and location requirements.

Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Daytime shifts: Wednesday 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM, Thursday 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM
