Security Guard Part Time Unarmed Patrol Assessment

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location in Princeton Junction, NJ, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for personnel and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and document security-related activities using computer or tablet tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, operational areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization for visitors, contractors, and deliveries, and maintain accurate logs and reports in accordance with site requirements.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, damaged barriers, unsecured doors, or other security-related issues, escalating concerns through established communication channels.

Requirements

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$17.86 / hour

Schedule

• Saturday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sunday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
