About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage badge access, and support a welcoming experience for employees, visitors, and drivers. You will use computer or tablet systems, communicate clearly, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location, verify authorized access, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Screen and direct delivery drivers, vendors, and visitors in accordance with facility procedures, coordinating with site contacts as needed.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, including the business perimeter, parking areas, docks, and access points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
