As a Security Officer Full Time Credential Screening in Manteno, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and visitor access, monitor activity, and communicate professionally with employees, drivers, and guests. Your visible presence will help deter incidents while supporting smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials and authorization, and document visitor, contractor, employee, and delivery vehicle entry and exit activity.
• Respond to access‑related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading docks, trailer yards, warehouse areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and access logs, communicating relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, depending on state and/or local laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Daytime: Thursday 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Friday 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Saturday 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Sunday 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
