About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will support a government transportation location by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, responding to security-related concerns, and providing exceptional customer service and communication to employees, visitors, and commuters.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, transit location policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, pedestrian access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
- Assist with directing visitors and providing general information while maintaining a professional presence in a public transportation environment.
Requirements
- Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- CPR certification is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
Pay
$29.93 / hour
Schedule
- Wednesday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Thursday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Saturday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
