As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time NYS Licensed Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts when it works for you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and program participants while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, maintaining a professional and welcoming presence.
• Respond to incidents, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management as appropriate.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$18.87 per hour

Schedule

Fixed‑shift anchor shifts: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM (six‑month commitment). Through the Claim‑A‑Shift program you may pick up additional shifts via the scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. This flexibility lets you work part‑time hours one week and full‑time the next, with the ability to scale up to 40 hours per week or scale back as needed.
