Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers at a shelter location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, building perimeters, entrances, and common areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.
• Maintain awareness of authorized entry procedures and report unauthorized access or suspicious behavior to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
