Security Guard | Part-Time | Santander Arena

Responsibilities

• Conduct "rounds" inside and outside of Venue buildings, observing and reacting to irregularities such as prowlers, fire or potential causes of fire, or other potential causes of loss or damage to property.
• Involves other safety, fire and city patrol officials as situation warrants.
• Prepares associated reports and involves others as situation merits.
• Maintains awareness of fire panel for complex at all times.
• Directs and controls the flow of guests during facility events, responding to questions, providing direction and reacting to situations requiring support and intervention.
• Ensures that facility and grounds lights are set (on/off) as necessary and that facility doors and property gates are properly secured.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Up to 1 year of related experience.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with 2 way radios.
• Teamwork oriented and positive attitude to welcome guests.

Santander Arena, located in downtown Reading, Pennsylvania, is a versatile venue that serves as the home arena for the Reading Royals, the ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers.
