Security Guard - Part Time Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location in Reno, NV, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at government facilities by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with access control procedures, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports of incidents, patrols, and daily activities while maintaining professional communication with site representatives and public agencies.

Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Friday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
