About the role

As a Security Guard Part Time Fire Watch in Allentown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and site personnel while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, visitors, and employees at a commercial real estate and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements; provide directions and assist with authorized entry processes.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications, and promptly report maintenance, access, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws (Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws).
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations (may be required prior to employment).
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Schedule

• Monday: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Sunday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
