Security Guard Part Time - Commercial Building

About the role

As a Front Desk Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will greet visitors, manage access control and badge procedures, monitor activity, and provide professional customer service. Your visible presence and clear communication will help support a secure, welcoming environment for tenants and guests.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors at a commercial real estate front desk by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor building access, greet and screen visitors, verify credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor lobby activity, access control systems, cameras, and/or communications equipment, reporting unusual activity or maintenance concerns to site leadership.
• Support building operations by answering phones, providing directions, receiving deliveries, and maintaining professional communication with tenants, guests, and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Have access control or badge experience (preferred).
• Have customer service experience (preferred).
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$17.00 - $17.75 / hour

Schedule

• Daytime
• Saturday: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sunday: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
