Security Guard Part Time

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer – Access Records in Beech Island, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Healthcare. You will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, issuing badges, and supporting access procedures. The role offers flexibility with a schedule that works for you and the ability to claim additional shifts via the Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, patients, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain access logs in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly healthcare environment by directing visitors, reporting suspicious activity, and following Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws (qualified applicants with criminal histories considered consistent with applicable laws).
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations; may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$15.95 per hour.

Schedule

• Monday: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Tuesday: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Wednesday: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
