As a Part‑Time Armed Field Patrol Security Guard in Queens, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as government. You will work at a government transit location, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and responding to security‑related concerns while providing professional communication, customer service, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at public transit locations.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, stations, adjacent areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel.
• Maintain possession and proper handling of assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of observations, incidents, and actions taken, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and designated transit personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Armed Guard Card/License preferred.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening as permitted by law.
• Participation in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws; may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$34.70 – $35.70 per hour

Schedule

Daytime – Saturday 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM; Sunday 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM
