Security Guard Part Time Access Management

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help maintain a welcoming, orderly environment by managing entry points, verifying access credentials, monitoring visitor activity, and reporting security-related concerns. Your professional presence and strong communication skills will help deter incidents while supporting employees, visitors, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage manufacturing location.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, issuing temporary badges, and directing authorized individuals according to site procedures.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, receiving areas, production-adjacent spaces, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, access records, and incident documentation in accordance with site-specific policies.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
