Security Guard - Overnight Highrise Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a hotel and resort location in Los Angeles, CA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support guests, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to hotel guests, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hotel common areas, guest floors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with site requirements.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• State, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$21.75 / hour

• Wednesday: 10:30 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thursday: 10:30 PM - 07:00 AM
• Friday: 10:30 PM - 07:00 AM
• Saturday: 10:30 PM - 07:00 AM
