Security Guard Overnight College Campus Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate clearly, and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$20.35 - $21.35 / hour
