As a Part‑Time Security Guard – Unarmed Observation Patrol in Dorchester, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Utilities, build a flexible schedule using the Claim a Shift platform, and help maintain a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at utility locations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and report unusual conditions, unauthorized access attempts, damaged property, and other security‑related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency responders as directed.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while following Allied Universal and site‑specific requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements mandated by state and/or local laws (may be required prior to employment).
• Hold a valid driver’s license only if the position requires driving.

Pay

$25.32 per hour

Schedule

Part‑time schedule: Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
