Security Guard Luxury Retail Environment

About the role

We're looking for a security officer who brings both professionalism and presence to a confidential luxury fashion boutique in Tribeca, Lower Manhattan. This isn't a static post - you'll be the first face guests encounter and the calm authority in the room when things get busy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional and visible presence within the boutique - greeting guests while staying alert to what's happening around you
• Monitor store activity and guest movement with strong situational awareness
• Manage guest flow during busy retail periods, weekends, and retail activations
• Identify and de-escalate disruptive or suspicious behavior with calm, direct communication
• Communicate clearly with store leadership regarding incidents or operational concerns
• Complete incident reports and documentation when required
• Represent the boutique's standard of professionalism in every interaction - appearance and conduct included

Requirements

• Valid New York State Security Guard License - required before your first day
• Background in law enforcement, military, corrections, security, or similar roles - preferred
• Experience in luxury retail, hospitality, concierge-style security, or other guest-facing environments - a strong plus
• Sharp situational awareness and sound judgment under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills - you interact with high-end clientele daily
• Professional demeanor, polished appearance, and strict discretion at all times
• Able to stand for extended periods and remain alert throughout the shift
• Reliable transportation and a consistent track record of showing up on time
• Availability for weekend scheduling and on-call assignments

Pay

$28.00 per hour

Schedule

Weekends only | Sat-Sun, 12:00 PM-7:30 PM
