What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical facility concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related issues to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas, assisting with access control, visitor screening, and direction-giving while maintaining a professional presence in a healthcare location.
• Support staff and visitors during routine operations and/or urgent situations by providing information, de-escalating conflicts when possible, and communicating with supervisors and local responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Licensing Requirements

• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
