Security Guard - Full Time Unarmed Patrol Documentation

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government educational location in Ashburn, VA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to concerns while reflecting Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to support an orderly learning environment.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to school representatives and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• CPR certification.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• A guard card or license.
• Customer service experience.

Pay

$18.87 / hour

Schedule

• Position Type: Full Time
• Day shift: Monday–Friday, 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM
