About the role

As a Security Guard Full Time Front Desk Check In in Palmetto, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will welcome visitors, manage access, verify credentials, and support a professional, secure environment. You will use communication and customer service skills to address inquiries, document activity, and help identify security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees at a front desk within a logistics and distribution location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor access to the facility, verify visitor and contractor credentials, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Answer phones, direct inquiries, receive deliveries, and communicate visitor arrivals or access requests to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor security-related systems, report unusual activity, and help to deter unauthorized access through attentive front-desk presence.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
