Security Guard - Full Time Driver Patrol

About the role
As a Full Time Driver Patrol Response Security Guard in Sauget, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support a secure environment. Your role includes providing exceptional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a chemical/petrochemical facility.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry records.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific response protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity through clear, timely reports, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
