About the role

This part-time enhanced security officer position is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts when it works for you. It is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, always with the option to scale back when needed.

Schedule

• Day time, Thursday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fixed-shift commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): hired for a designated site and weekly shift serving as a reliable base schedule with a six (6) month commitment
• Claim-A-Shift Program: pick up extra shifts through the scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government facility
• Serve as a professional front-desk presence by greeting visitors, verifying identification and access authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor logs
• Monitor access points, receive and direct calls, and provide clear information to visitors while supporting established entry and departure procedures
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and following site-specific reporting procedures
• Maintain accurate activity, incident, and visitor documentation while communicating professionally with facility personnel, public-service partners, and Allied Universal leadership

Requirements

• Valid driver's license in the state where the job is located
• Active DoD Confidential Clearance
• Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred
• Customer service experience preferred
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Subject to background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• Subject to drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
