Security Guard - Distribution Center at Acme Distribution Centers Aurora, CO $19.29/hr - $21.29/hr Description We are seeking a dependable and professional Full-Time Security Guard to join our team in Aurora, CO. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers, employees, and visitors while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a variety of situations. Responsibilities Direct customers, employees, and visitors as well as log in/out trucks as required, while maintaining access control of the guardhouse entrance and exit.Provides assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional mannerAssist in controlling the intersection at the guardhouse to help keep traffic and people safePerform patrols on foot and by golf cart as requiredKeep an accurate and up to date written log of activitiesMonitor security camerasMaintain a safe and secure environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controlsMaintain organization's stability and reputation by complying with all requirementsWatches for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazardsReport concerns and/or problems to the management teamsFollows post orders and other duties as assigned Requirements Must be 18 years of age.Ability to read and write detailed reportsAble to use good judgment, objectivity, and emotional controlMust be dependableSelf-managedMust have a reliable means of transportation (public or private)Able to work weekends and holidaysValid drivers license Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply Physical Requirements & Work Environment This is somewhat a sedentary role. Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50lbs may at times be expected. Specific vision abilities may be required for this role. These abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, as well as good depth perception.Must have the ability to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time. You will need to be able to twist, bend, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch when needed.
