Security Guard

Essential Functions

• Enforces rules and regulations to provide a safe environment for employees, customers, and vendors in accordance with company policies
• Enforce no-smoking policies
• Enforces employee parking policies
• Arranges for the removal of vehicles that are illegally parked or have been abandoned on dealership property
• Ensures that all individuals on company premises have legal right to be there
• Assists in the removal of individuals as required
• Investigate any wrong doings such as theft, misconduct and vandalism at the direction of Supervisor and involves local authorities in accordance with local, state and federal regulations and company policies
• Responsible for complex keys
• Patrol, document, report and follow-up on safety and security hazards or infractions
• Reports all hazards and incidents promptly to management
• Serves as first responder for any security issues
• Responds to any Emergency Response situation on dealership premises
• Coverage and coordination of security staff through security vendor
• Serve as back-up to safety coordinator for facility
• Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer and in accordance with company policies
• Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to working with hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management immediately
• Follows all attendance and punctuality standards with adherences to timekeeping standards
• Follows the Company Code of Business Ethics and Conduct
• Understands and follow all work rules and procedures and follows lawful directions from Supervisors
• Upholds the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements
• Maintains a professional appearance in accordance with company policy
• Attends pertinent training on request
• Attends company meetings as required

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license. Previous security experience preferred.

Skills

Knowledge of security protocols and procedures. Ability to enforce rules and regulations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Physical ability to perform security duties.
