Security Guard

At Pilgrim’s, safety is a condition, which means the safety of our team members comes first—always. In this role, you'll help maintain a safe and secure environment for team members, visitors, and company assets by monitoring facility activity, controlling site access, conducting routine inspections, and supporting daily operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant activity to help ensure a safe and secure workplace.
• Conduct daily rounds, including checking trailer temperatures, room temperatures, and facility gates.
• Monitor and document all associate and vehicle traffic entering and exiting the facility.
• Answer and direct switchboard calls during off-hours.
• Process outbound loads as required.
• Follow and enforce company policies and procedures.
• Operate company-owned vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Perform parking lot checks daily.
• Inspect trailers for cleanliness, safety, and operability.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support facility security and operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
• Previous security experience preferred but not required.
• Strong computer skills preferred.
• Ability to walk more than one mile on varying terrain, in all weather conditions, and navigate stairs throughout the shift.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, communicate effectively under pressure, maintain a professional attitude, and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work any shift as needed.

Pay

Base hourly salary: $17.91 per hour.

To assist in achieving a safe and secure environment, we conduct drug, alcohol, and background checks for all new team members post-offer and prior to the start of employment. The Immigration Reform and Control Act requires verification of employment eligibility for all new employees by the end of the third day of work.
