Security Guard

Outpatient Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) located in Roanoke, VA, part of Acadia Healthcare's Comprehensive Treatment Centers.

About the role

The Security Guard is responsible for monitoring persons and/or vehicles entering or leaving the Clinic property, ensuring a safe environment, communicating concerns to their supervisor, performing light maintenance and environmental services duties, and conducting routine safety inspections of Clinic monitoring devices.

Schedule

• Full-Time Hours
• Monday - Friday: 4:45 AM - 12:30 PM
• Rotating Saturdays: 7 AM - 11 AM
• Rotating Sundays: 5:45 AM - 7:15 AM

Responsibilities

• Assists, directs, and monitors all persons entering and leaving the Clinic property, including emergency vehicles and personnel.
• Interacts with staff and patients in a professional manner at all times.
• Monitors parking area (at minimum of twice per hour) and lobby to ensure no loitering or misconduct takes place; reports all concerns to director immediately.
• Keeps accurate notes and reports within various systems as outlined by Clinic standards.
• Communicates regarding incoming admissions, visits, and deliveries to appropriate staff.
• Performs light maintenance duties and repairs, including touch-up painting, emptying and picking up trash, changing light bulbs, cleaning spills, and various repairs.
• Performs regular safety checks, including smoke detectors, locked doors, alarm systems, etc.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• Two years’ experience in security, corrections, or military is preferred.
• Experience working in a healthcare or patient/customer-facing setting preferred.
• Must be comfortable working in an opioid treatment program/recovery environment.

Pay

$16.15 - $16.63 per hour
