Security Guard
This is a full-time, seasonal position for the Summer 2026 season (April through the beginning of November). This position is not available for H2B applicants.
About The Role
As a Resort Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, team members, and resort assets. This includes monitoring property areas, responding to incidents, enforcing policies, and providing assistance when needed. You’ll work in a diverse, multicultural environment where professionalism, communication, and teamwork are essential. Hospitality professionals who succeed in this role demonstrate strong judgment, integrity, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Prior security, law enforcement, or hospitality safety experience preferred but not required
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Skills: Strong observational, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Professional Traits: Dependable, courteous, and detail-oriented
- Safety Awareness: Understanding of security procedures, incident reporting, and emergency response basics
- Cultural Awareness: Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment with professionalism and respect
- Location Requirement: Must be able to live and work on Mackinac Island seasonally
