Security Guard

About the role

To maintain the security and safety of the student body, faculty, and staff by patrolling the campus and securing buildings and grounds.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus and maintain security of buildings and grounds
• Develop and implement action plans to provide a safe environment
• Respond immediately to threats of imminent violence, criminal incidents, emergency medical incidents, auto accidents, and other emergencies
• Supervise and patrol school activities
• Ensure doors are locked and unlocked per the principal’s instructions
• Regulate student behavior in classrooms, cafeteria, gym, restrooms, locker rooms, parking lots, and other areas

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Demonstrated knowledge of security procedures
• Job-related experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Regular attendance is an essential function of this position
