As the Guard

• Protects all vital and restricted areas, equipment, and materials.
• Checks all persons, vehicles, and materials entering the Plant Area(s).
• Alert and observant of any unauthorized persons within the Plant.
• Enforces rules, regulations, general, special, and standing orders essential for protection against accidents, fire, and other hazards.
• Makes patrols and watch rounds with adequate frequency.
• Operates authorized radio communication equipment.

Qualifications

• A High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous related work experience.
• Armed Guard experience preferred.
• Valid state driver's license that coincides with state of residence unless applicant recently moved from another state.

Physical and Mental Demands

• Visual acuity.
• Balancing.
• Stooping.
• Reaching.
• Lifting objects more than 15 pounds.
• Walking.
• Repetitive motion of any part of the body.
• Kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Pushing or pulling (using a part of your body to press against something in a downward or outward direction or in a dragging or hauling motion).
• Manual dexterity.
• Grasping.
• Feeling (perceiving an object’s size, shape, texture, etc.).
• Hearing.
• Talking.
• Capacity to think, concentrate, and focus for long periods of time.
• Capacity to read complex documents in the English language.
• Capacity to reason and make sound decisions.
• Capacity to write complex documents in the English language.
• Capacity to express thoughts orally.
• Ability to wear a mask, respirator, bulletproof vest, or other equipment.
• Ability to regularly perform all job functions at Company’s office or worksite.
• Ability to withstand environmental conditions (extreme heat or cold, grass, wind, sand, fumes, odors, gases, extreme noise, etc.).
