Security Guard

Responsibilities

• Maintain access control to ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises.
• Staff the security desk and greet employees, clients, and visitors professionally.
• Conduct routine patrols to identify and report security or safety concerns.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, alarms, and other security-related situations according to established procedures.
• Prepare and maintain accurate incident reports, visitor logs, and daily activity records.
• Monitor surveillance systems and security equipment.
• Aid in emergency evacuation procedures and coordinate with emergency responders when necessary.
• Enforce company policies and procedures related to safety and building security.
• Communicate effectively with building management, employees, and external vendors.
• Utilize Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word to manage communications, prepare reports, and maintain security documentation.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State Security Guard License required.
• Previous security, law enforcement, military, or corporate security experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word required.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
• Available to work the evening shift from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.

Pay

Salary range: $75,000 - $85,000
