Security Guard Armed Patrol Operations

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, substations, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Maintain required reports and activity logs, and handle authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal, client, and applicable legal requirements.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and drug screen as required by law.
• Participation in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

$18.25 per hour (Full‑time position)

• Wednesday: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
• Thursday: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
• Friday: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
• Saturday: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
