As a Security Guard Armed Patrol Driver in Windsor, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to situations as they arise. This driving post calls for strong communication, sound judgment, and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to facility staff, visitors, and other authorized individuals while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facility grounds, building exteriors, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and contacting appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as assigned, and document patrols, incidents, and observations in required reports.
• Maintain assigned armed equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and site-specific policies.

Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Schedule

Day shift: Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 5:45 PM to 6:00 AM
