About the role

As an Armed Security Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Louisville, KY, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility and technology-related location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, perimeter points, and restricted areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site policies.
  • Prepare accurate reports for incidents, observations, patrol activities, and unusual conditions, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$25.00 / Hour

Schedule

  • Monday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • Friday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • Saturday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
