About the role

This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. As a Security Guard Armed Enhanced Part Time Patrol in The Woodlands, TX, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking-up additional shifts.

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours one week and full-time the next—it’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and local authorities when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or deliveries as directed by site procedures, and help control access to restricted areas.
• Support daily operations by completing incident reports, maintaining post records, and reporting maintenance, access, and/or policy concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• At least 21 years of age (required for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
