Security Guard Armed Driver Patrol
About the role
Join Allied Universal at a government location where you will patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government corrections environment.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment while following post orders for an armed patrol assignment.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify unusual conditions, and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and help to control access to restricted areas in accordance with site policies and applicable procedures.
- Prepare clear reports on incidents, observations, and/or daily activities, and communicate with site personnel, supervisors, and public agencies as needed regarding security-related matters.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- An armed guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Qualifications
- Licenses and certifications are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
