Security Guard Airport Overnight

About the role

As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, and airport personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations and actions according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, restricted access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations as assigned.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations.
• Assist with access control, directional support, and coordination with airport and government location personnel during routine operations, delays, and/or unusual events.

Requirements

• 20+ Years of Age
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 20 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Skills

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds
• Valid driver's license for driving positions only

Pay

$19.23 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $4.30. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

DayTime: Wed 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM, Thur 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM, Sun 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM
