Security Guard - Afternoon Access Control

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, conduct patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, and delivery activity in support of security-related access procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, trailer areas, parking locations, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual or suspicious activity.
• Aid with gate operations, vehicle screening, and communication with site personnel regarding access requests, restricted areas, and other security-related matters.

Requirements

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
