Daytime Security Guard

Position Summary

The Daytime Security Guard ensures the safety and well-being of guests and employees at Hawaiian Waters – The Colony during operating hours. This is accomplished by conducting bag and cooler checks, monitoring the parking lot, entrances, and exits, and performing regular patrols of the property.

Essential Functions

• Ensure the safety of guests and employees by inspecting bags and coolers for prohibited items prior to entry.
• Monitor the parking lot to assist with traffic flow and address any safety concerns as needed.
• Ensure that the park’s entrances and exits are appropriately secured during operational hours and at the end of the day.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by patrolling the property, engaging guests to provide information, resolve concerns, address inquiries, educate visitors on facility rules, and addressing inappropriate behavior as needed.
• Assist in locating lost parties and reuniting them with their group, working collaboratively with other departments as required.
• Provide support during special events to ensure their safe and efficient operation.
• Maintain accuracy in documentation and ensure proper retention of all departmental records.
• Afford support with additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting 25 lbs., or more, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods of time in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to handle and maintain confidential information in a professional manner.

Pay Range

$15 per hour
