Security Guard- Active Clearance

About the role

As a Security Guard‑Active Clearance in Centennial, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as technology, media, and telecommunications. You will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology‑focused location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; promptly communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; verify credentials and maintain accurate logs and reports as required.
• Document incidents, patrol observations, and unusual conditions clearly and professionally while supporting a positive, customer‑focused environment.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
• Minimum age: 18 years for unarmed roles; 21 years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, subject to state and/or local regulations.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$27.29 per hour

Schedule

Daytime – Monday through Thursday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
