Security Guard Access Control Vehicle Driver
About the Role
As a Security Guard Access Control Vehicle Driver in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial. You will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and conduct routine patrols to help deter incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry records, and control vehicle and pedestrian access in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Document daily activities, access-related incidents, and observations through required reports, logs, and communication channels.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued license for security-related work is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
