Security Guard - Access Control

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access control activities, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access support activities, and when appropriate, emergency response actions at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, facility issues, and/or potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and help to support site policies related to authorized access, deliveries, and contractor activity.
• Complete routine reports, logs, and shift pass-down communication regarding patrol activity, incidents, and/or maintenance or security-related observations.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Skills
