About the role
Secure plant and grounds while maintaining a professional attitude with all associates, vendors, and the public.
Responsibilities
- Monitors plant activity
- Performs hourly rounds (checking trailer temps, room temps, and gates)
- Monitors all associates entering and exiting the building, including car traffic
- Weighs trailers in and out using master scales
- Answers switchboard after hours
- Handles billing for loads
- Follows and implements company policies
- Operates company-owned vehicles
- Receives and sorts company mail
- Inspects trailers for cleanliness and operability
- Receives shipments of supplies and raw materials
Requirements
- Ability to read and write in English
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to walk more than one mile, on varying terrain, in all weather, and up/down stairs
- Ability to perform assigned tasks without direct supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively under stress
- Attention to detail
- Professional attitude
- Ability to work any shift
- Security experience preferred
Qualifications
- Minimum High School diploma
