Security GRC Analyst II

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Security GRC Analyst II to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will support data protection and governance efforts across a healthcare environment, with a strong emphasis on protecting sensitive information and strengthening security controls. The analyst will configure and optimize data protection tools, help investigate incidents, and partner with internal stakeholders to improve governance practices. This position also plays an important role in training, forensic support, and the continuous enhancement of the organization’s security posture. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Pay

$130,000 – $135,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and optimize data protection tools
• Conduct data discovery and classification to identify high-risk assets
• Investigate and respond to data breaches and incidents
• Lead governance projects
• Analyze alerts and logs to identify data-related security incidents
• Develop and deliver training on data governance and protection
• Collaborate with IT and legal teams during forensic investigations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, IT, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity focused on data protection or governance
• Proficiency with data protection tools such as DLP and encryption
• Solid understanding of security frameworks such as PCI, GDPR, HITRUST, ISO 27001, and NIST 800-53
• Strong communication and analytical abilities
• Technical expertise with Microsoft Purview or related security tools
