Security Governance Consultant

About the role

Our client is seeking a Security Governance Consultant to support the operation of its cybersecurity governance program. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently while managing competing priorities. This is a hybrid position based in New York, NY.

Pay

Starting at $70/hour

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate responses to internal and external audit requests
• Collect, analyze, and report on security controls and key metrics
• Identify, document, and communicate risks through security monitoring and governance activities
• Assist with the administration, configuration, and enhancement of a GRC platform
• Review and support information security policies, standards, and procedures
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the firm to support cybersecurity governance and risk management

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in information security, technology risk, or governance
• Experience with audits and examinations, either as an auditor or auditee
• Ability to critically compare and analyze various data sets
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with GRC platforms is a plus
• Financial services industry experience preferred
