Job Description

The Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position provides a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands‑on experience, or work toward a full‑time career with the industry leader. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part‑Time Patrol First Aid in Irving, TX, you will have reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the ability to earn more by picking up additional shifts when it works for you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs, patrol reports, and incident documentation.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by communicating professionally with diverse populations and following Allied Universal and site‑specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• A guard card or license (preferred).
• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, depending on state/local regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$21.00 per hour

Schedule

Daytime – Wednesday, 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM (Fixed‑Shift Commitment “Anchor Shifts” with a six‑month commitment). Additional shifts can be picked up through the “Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift” program, allowing flexibility to work part‑time one week and full‑time the next, up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back as needed.
