Security Fire Command Specialist

Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Responsibilities
- Makes daily and weekly inspections of safety conditions in the complex and notifies the necessary departments to take corrective action in order to assist in reaching profitability, guest satisfaction, workforce strength, and compliance goals.
- Monitors life safety equipment in the Fire Command Center.
- Conducts inspections, in accordance with procedures, to ensure equipment, such as smoke detectors and fire extinguishers, are in proper working order.
- Monitors the main employee/service entrance to the complex and ensures that only individuals with the appropriate authorization or credentials enter the back of the house area.
- Issues temporary access credentials to vendors and other visitors as needed.
- Watches for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and blocked egress corridors in a timely manner.
- Keeps accurate daily logs of alarms received in the Fire Command Center.
- Maintains daily logs of notifications for abatement of fire and safety hazards.
- Maintains key management logs for the complex.
- Performs and completes all duties necessary to comply with PGCB mandated requirements, including but not limited to:
- Gaming-related drops
- Card and dice reconciliation, inspection, cancellation, and destruction
- Re-issuance of poker cards
- Transporting locked chip carriers and documents to and from the Chip Bank
- Assists as a Security Officer when necessary.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED; or six months to one year of experience working with a life safety monitoring system.
- Must be dependable and display sound judgment.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English with customers and employees.
- Must qualify for a license with the Pennsylvania State Racing Commission and meet any credentialing requirements of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have a thorough understanding and knowledge of basic fire fighting techniques (use of a fire extinguisher).
- Must be able to interact with guests and employees in a calm and professional manner during a fire emergency.

Pay
Starting salary: $17.00 per hour
