About the role
Responsible for the safety and well-being of guests and fellow employees. All team members will follow the Everyone Greets Everyone (EGE) policy: acknowledge guests and fellow team members within 10 feet, initiate friendly verbal greeting within 5 feet, keep your head up, look around (“head on a swivel”), and look for opportunities to greet guests and others. When on the floor, you are “on stage.”
Team members will participate in all mandatory meetings and pre-shift BUZZ sessions.
Responsibilities
- Give directions and provide escort to customers in need.
- Provide assistance to civil and law enforcement authorities, including testimony in court and other administrative hearings.
- Perform chip fills and jackpot verifications.
- Regularly escort money and persons in money-handling positions.
- Provide first aid, including CPR when necessary.
- Patrol all sections of property to identify safety hazards and breaks in security.
- Interview, investigate, and document all applicable incidents in accordance with company policy.
- Create detailed descriptions of people and incidents for lost and found.
- Enforce all company policies and procedures.
- Serve as the primary first responder to all medical emergencies for guest and employee injuries and illnesses.
- Provide emergency medical/multi-media first aid and determine requirements for emergency treatment off-property.
- Present a well-groomed, professional appearance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Must be able to:
- Work and stand inside and outside, sometimes in heat in excess of 115 degrees or cold as low as 10 degrees.
- Physically restrain adults who weigh more than 200 pounds.
- Respond calmly in crisis and stressful situations.
- Work independently.
- Stoop, bend, jump, twist, crouch, grip, carry heavy loads, and maneuver quickly on level surfaces, as well as up and down stairs.
- Lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
- Push or pull up to 150 pounds.
- Make rational decisions when handling guest and employee issues.
- See and remember the specific details of incidents and persons.
- Give court testimony when necessary and write detailed reports.
- Respond to visual and aural cues.
- Read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in a position with direct guest contact.
- Must be able to prepare effective written reports.
- Two years of police, military police, or casino security experience preferred.
- Excellent customer and employee relations skills.
- Ability to obtain Alcohol Awareness, First Aid, and CPR certifications.
- Ability to work any day of the week and any shift.
- Ability to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
- Current EMT certification/license by the State of Oklahoma.
- Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License with no DUI’s or suspensions within the last three years.
Schedule
Must be able to work a varied schedule including holidays, nights, and weekends as needed. Must be able to work a reasonable amount of overtime when required.
