Security Dispatcher - Full Time (Caesars Palace LV)
About the Role
Security Officers Dispatch are responsible for providing protection from any element, factor, or situation that may jeopardize the welfare, security, and integrity of team members, guests, their personal properties, and company assets. The Security Dispatch serves as the hub of Security Operations throughout the property, functioning as a command post, communications center, and dispatching station for Security Operations and operational support.
The Security Officer Dispatch position is a customer contact and public relations role, with most interactions occurring via telephone. It is essential to relate to guests with respect, concern, and courtesy while maintaining a professional, courteous, and respectful demeanor at all times.
Responsibilities
- Provide a friendly and safe environment for guests and team members while protecting company assets.
- Perform duties in accordance with Caesars Entertainment policies, procedures, and mission statement.
- Know the property floor plan and operating times of various facilities to provide accurate directions and information to guests.
- Routinely patrol assigned areas, assist guests, and remain alert for suspicious circumstances, gaming violations, theft, safety hazards, medical emergencies, or property damage.
- Know the location of all emergency equipment (phones, fire extinguishers, emergency exits, etc.).
- Relay incidents warranting security intervention to Security Officers Dispatch immediately.
- Respond to assist fellow officers at any time, regardless of assignment.
- Communicate professionally with patrons over the telephone, presenting a pleasant and courteous personality.
- Verify that all required equipment is functional and report malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
- Effectively multitask, handling phones, radios, monitors, camera locations, and operations.
- Review accessible video cameras routinely and report malfunctions.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of camera coverage and required sequencing for incident reviews.
- Monitor alarm systems and notify proper emergency personnel upon activation.
- Continuously patrol the property to ensure guest and team member safety and uphold laws, policies, and procedures.
- Exercise good judgment in problem-solving and facilitate resolution of customer complaints through coordination with other departments.
- Act as an ambassador of Caesars Entertainment by providing accurate directions and information about property attractions and amenities.
- Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance reflecting the Security Department’s standards.
- Assist civil and law enforcement authorities, including providing testimony in court and administrative proceedings.
- Provide medical assistance as a "First Responder," including First Aid and CPR when necessary.
- Interview, investigate, and document all incidents requiring security intervention in accordance with company policy.
- Enforce all company policies and procedures.
- Adhere to attendance guidelines and all company and department policies.
- Respond to dispatched areas of need in a timely manner.
- Conduct slot, pit poker, and other drops in compliance with Nevada Gaming law and departmental procedures.
- Comply with departmental "Use of Force" policy regarding arrest and detention of individuals violating laws or company policy.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- 1 to 2 years of prior security experience preferred.
- Prior experience in a position with direct guest contact is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good oral and written communication skills, with a working knowledge of basic computer programs.
- Must obtain and possess a Nevada Gaming Card, Alcohol Awareness Card (AES), and a valid Nevada Driver’s License.
- Ability to work any day of the week and any shift.
- Neat, professional appearance with good personal hygiene.
- Ability to set an example and act as a role model/leader for all Security personnel.

Additional Requirements
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors, sometimes in extreme temperatures (heat up to 115°F or cold as low as 10°F).
- Ability to physically restrain individuals when necessary.
- Remain calm and professional during stressful or crisis situations.
- Ability to work independently.
- Physical ability to stoop, bend, jump, twist, crouch, grip, carry heavy loads, and maneuver quickly on level surfaces and stairs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds and push or pull up to 150 pounds.
- Ability to see and remember specific details of incidents and persons, and provide court testimony or write detailed reports.
- Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to tolerate areas with secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
- Must pass physical and written testing at the Western Division Security Academy (covering Controlled Force, Defensive Tactics, Legal Issues, Handcuffing, Tactical Communications, Use of Force, Report Writing, Searching Subjects, Emergency Response, Ethics, and Expandable Baton) within the first 90 days of employment.
- Must re-certify through the Western Division Security Academy between years 2 and 3, passing all physical, mental, and environmental demands.
